OUR STORY
How it started
We met in Ghent just as Lander was about to graduate from art school and Maria was preparing to return to Poznań after a student exchange programme. Neither of us suspected that a simple chat over a beer would reroute both our paths.
As we set off for our first date on May 1st, 2018, neither of us thought much of it. Little did we know, things were about to go sideways. That night something clicked and we haven't left each others' side ever since.
How it's going
Over the years, Maria gradually became more Flemish, and Lander’s appreciation for Poland grew deeper by the day. She learned all about witloof and federal complexity, while he discovered sparkling dill pickles and survived many Polish Christmases.
Five moves, three cities, two knocked-out teeth, and one cat later, Lander finally popped the question. And Maria said yes—duh!
